Peter Cushman

Oakwood Real Estate Partners

Peter and his wife Julie live in Littleton, CO with their two children. They met at the University of Colorado at Boulder (CU) for college and have been a pair ever since. They enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling, and watching movies. Peter loves golf, horseback riding, and fly fishing. Julie loves photography and painting. It’s a perfect mix of the outdoors and indoors! 

Peter enjoys helping others in his community. In addition to GWC, he is on the Leeds School of Business Board of Directors at CU and the Boy Scouts of America Denver Area Council. He recently retired as a cub scout leader. At CU, he is the incoming Chair of the CU Real Estate Center. Peter is also an active mentor and donor to the Diverse Scholars Program at Leeds and a supporter of first-generation college students at the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. The Cushman’s also actively support other regional causes focused on youth health and enrichment, the outdoors, and education.

Peter is a Partner with Oakwood Real Estate Partners, a Denver-based real estate private equity firm. Oakwood invests nationally in commercial properties including multifamily, industrial, retail, senior housing, office, and land. Before Oakwood, previously held development-related positions with Bancroft Capital (CO) and Louis Dreyfus Property Group (NY & CA).

He holds an MBA from the University of Denver Daniels College of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Peter’s most underrated skill set may be his ability to make to do lists and cross off items to feel a sense of immediate accomplishment.
