Taylor C. Kirkpatrick

Babson Farms, Inc.

Taylor is a Denver native who went rogue, but came back in 2000 after seeing the error of his ways.  He is happiest looking over an expanse of open land, next to Molly (his wife of 17 years), his 11-year-old son, Henry, and his dog Chilly; the other mischievous dog, Pepper, might also be there, but mainly Chilly. If you incorporate a fly rod, a book, a nice glass of wine, and a joke, he may never leave.

Taylor is active in the community and has served on or chaired the boards of over 30 public service and philanthropic organizations. He currently devotes his time to the Good Wood Club Foundation, Children’s Hospital Colorado, the Grabhorn Institute, GreenLight Denver, the Bailey Program for Family Enterprise, and the Chancellor’s Roundtable, a strategic advisory board serving the Chancellor at the University of Denver.  He also serves on the boards of several private companies and is proud to be a mentor to many in his community.

Professionally, Taylor is President & CEO of Babson Farms, a single-family office overseeing operating businesses in agriculture, manufacturing, logistics, and insurance, diverse real estate investments, energy interests, and public and private equity investments.  Prior to managing Babson Farms, Taylor was involved in mergers and acquisitions as a Principal and a VP for 13 years. He started his career in financial services working in executive management and consulting roles for mutual fund companies based in Boston, Paris, and Denver.

Taylor received a Bachelor of Arts in French from Middlebury College and an International MBA from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver.

He has presented nationally and been published on topics related to private investments, succession, philanthropy, impact investing, and educating the rising generation.  Taylor also authored an award-winning children’s book, “Worthwhile.” The story involves a boy and his grandmother that promotes giving and kindness.
